Council of Cornell Cooperative Extension Associations
The Council of Cornell Cooperative Extension Associations (the Council) was formed in 2001 to provide a forum for dialogue on any issue that is relevant to the effectiveness, viability and mission of the CCE system. The Council is uniquely poised as a geographically representational body of volunteers to communicate the impact and public value of the CCE system to stakeholders and elected officials. The Council is made up of 24 appointed members (3 per CCE communication region) who either currently serve, or start their term on the Council within two years of serving on an Association board.
The mission of the Council
- To work to continually improve the CU/ CCE partnership.
- To serve as a conduit to promote the sharing of ideas and knowledge among CCE Associations and CCE Administration.
- To advocate for the mission of CCE at the State and Federal level by working in collaboration with the Director of Extension and the Cornell University office of Government Affairs.
- To seek innovative approaches to support Association Boards with efforts to build effective local government partnerships, strong faculty connections and regional approaches to delivering the mission of CCE.
